KalEdge
FAQ
Questions people ask before they trust Scout
Straight answers — no hype. If your question isn't here, ask Scout live on the homepage.
Is KalEdge a sportsbook — can I place bets here?▾
No. KalEdge is prediction-market intelligence, not a sportsbook. It analyzes markets and publishes paper-traded signals for education. It never accepts wagers and never places a bet — you keep full control of any decision.
Why pay for Scout when I can just ask ChatGPT or Claude?▾
Because a chatbot has
no live data (it's frozen at its training cutoff),
invents the numbers, has
no track record, and
always gives you an answer — even a bad one. Scout uses live odds and results, computes every number (no-vig, EV, Kelly), publishes a calibrated public record of wins
and losses, and sits out when there's no edge. The AI model is the brain; the edge is the live data, the math, and the proof around it.

How accurate is Scout? What's the track record?▾
Scout publishes its full record — hit rate, ROI, calibration, wins and losses — in the open, no cherry-picking. On real games its model beats a coin flip (log-loss under 0.69) with roughly a 64% hit rate, and it's calibrated so a stated 60% wins about 60% of the time. Every edge is a probability, not a promise; some picks lose, and Scout shows them.
How is this different from a tipster or a betting tout?▾
Tipsters sell hype and only show their winners. Scout shows every pick, settles it at the result, and publishes the math behind it. It's transparency, not a highlight reel — read the math, not the narrative.
Is any of this financial advice?▾
No. KalEdge is information and education. Nothing on the platform is financial, investment, or betting advice, and we're not licensed advisors. Markets carry real risk; only stake what you can afford to lose.

What markets does Scout cover?▾
Prediction markets across several categories — crypto price levels, weather, sports, economics and politics — wherever there's a liquid market and a computable fair value.
What do the Free, $9, and $29 plans include?▾
Free — follow Scout's public ledger and get one pick a week. Scout Weekly ($9/mo) — every edge Scout finds, the week it finds it, with the fair line and confidence on each. Scout Pro ($29/mo) — real-time delivery, the raw feed, and tools for people who want the signal directly.
Do I have to bet anything?▾
No. Scout is advice-only — it tells you where the math and the market disagree, and you decide what, if anything, to do. Many people use it purely to read the markets more clearly.
